You don’t get service line this anymore. Eldred is the real deal—a bike obsessed former racer determined to share his passion with everyone he talks to. Need your bike fixed? Done. Need grandmas tricycle from 1942 restored? Done. Wanna learn how to improve your triathlon time? Done. The guy is amazing.
My husband and I brought our bike in to get a tire fixed and had an amazing experience. The owner was incredibly passionate, friendly, and genuinely cared about what he was doing. He was quick, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. On top of that, the price was extremely affordable! You can really tell this shop is run by someone who loves bikes and values their customers. We will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone we know!
Very helpful make sure you can leave riding the bike
Took a bike I was gifted from a neighbor and booked a consult since I wasn't sure what was causing the noise and resistance on the wheel. Eldred instantly knew the bikes model and told me about its riding style and recommended a tune up to fix a few issues the bike had. He fixed it so fast, was so knowledgeable, and is so very kind. I was nervous about riding again after so long and he took time to set me up for success with some drills and adjusted the bike to my body. I always try to support local business, and this is one that has given me every reason to never take my bike anywhere but here. He's that good.
Veloharmony knows everything there is to know about bikes. He was a meticulous perfectionist with our bike restoration project. If you need anything from a complete rebuild, to a rim straightened, to a new paint job this is the place!! Thank you!
Great experience! Clearly communicated on all the repairs needed. Eldred found the right parts on my older bike.
I brought my recumbent trike in for an upgrade and in the end I took home what was in essence a brand new ride. Eldred pays attention to detail and doesn’t rush through the work. He knows his stuff. He explains things thoroughly and makes sure the customer understands completely. I would put Veloharmony at the pinnacle of bike repair shops certainly in Harris county and elsewhere.
Great shop and awesome service. He's a professional at what he does and takes his time making sure your bike is in great shape. He's very detailed and does such a good job even pointing out areas where you need adjustments so you're all set! Glad we found this bike shop.
Whether you are an experienced rider or just starting out, you will want to come and spend time here. He refurbished my wife's bike and did an excellent job. Now he is working through updating the bike to fit her because everyone is different. He takes the time to explain everything and does very high-quality work.
I found Veloharmony after taking my daughter’s bike to a local bike store for a tune up, and realizing they didn’t really do everything they were supposed to do. The pedals started to lock up after that tune up, so I decided to find somewhere else to fix it. Eldred was very thorough in his inspection of the bicycle, and he was able to fix all the things the bike shop missed, like the brake pads, the loose pedals, the out of alignment steering frame, and the locked up pedals. He made sure the seat was also the right height for my daughter and made recommendations for future maintenance as she continues to grow. He even watched as my daughter rode the bike to make sure it was comfortable for her. I will definitely be bringing my own bike here as well for a tune up and maintenance. Great customer service!
Eldrid is an awesome ! He fixed my bike the same day and was super honest , turns out it only needed air in the tires. He didn’t try to upcharge me or push anything unnecessary. On top of that, he gave me a bunch of helpful tips on how to properly ride and take care of my bike. Straight-up, reliable, and really knows his stuff. Highly recommend! 🚴♂️
Extremely fast, knowledgeable, and professional. Tuned up a bike for my daughter that we found on the side of the road. Done in 1 day and came back better than new. It looks as if every detail (down to individual screws) was attended to and that great pride was put into his work.
I brought my daughter's bike in for some much needed repair. Everything was explained so thoroughly about what needed to be done and why. 5 short days later, and I brought my daughter to pick up her bike! To her surprise, it looked like a brand new bike! Time was spent to adjust everything to fit her perfectly, and for the first time since getting the bike over a year ago, she had a HUGE smile on her face and actually ENJOYED riding it again! We are an independent local bicycle shop, specializing in new, used and custom bicycles, parts, and accessories. We also offer full service repair on all types of bicycles at reasonable prices using new or used parts.
Having successfully performed bike fits since early 1995 to varying levels of recreational riders, racers and Ironman triathletes, it was not until 2016, that I received the inspiration for the Veloharmony Custom Fit Studio, bicycle shop and bicycle service center and its accompanying Veloharmony YouTube Channel.
The creation of Veloharmony as we know today, begins in the Summer of 2016, during a group ride with a local Houston area club called UMC. A cyclist named Paul Ilunga, joined our group on one of the Saturday rides.
I was introduced to him by Alain Didkain and the three of us hung at the rear of the group and chatted.The pace picked up and I noticed Paul was struggling to hold the pace. Alain offered to stay with him and so I rode on and caught up to the group.
After about 10 kilometers (6 miles) or so, we stopped at the Local gas station, since the actual ride start was earlier than where we joined the group on the route and the earlier starters needed to top off their fluids.
At the stop, Paul told us that he had been off the bike for a year. Intending to encourage him and being truthful, I said “if you can stay with us after taking a year off, then we should not be riding bikes”.
I think it worked and he received the comment well.
Later during the next week, I received a message from Alain that suggested that since Paul lived relatively close to me, I should contact him so we could do some rides together. I did and the rest is history.
Our first ride, Paul could barely hold a straight line while riding and bumped into me a few times. I mentioned that his fit needed to be examined.
At the time neither he, nor Alain were aware that I was adept at bike fits among other things.
Set a goal
Paul had mentioned that he observed how easily I moved through the bunch and said he wanted to ride like me.
He asked questions and I answered as best as I could, sometimes talking with him for hours. We adjusted his saddle height immediately after that first ride.
His saddle was a full 5centimeters (about 2inches) too high and I was amazed that he was able to ride the bike.
I told him this was the primary reason he was unable to keep up and it must be impossible to ride this bike. He then told me that after every ride “everything hurts”.
I let him ride with his new saddle height for about a week and then we changed his cockpit, stem was lengthened, lowered and viola he had the perfect road position for his body.

As time progressed, during one of our lengthy discussions, he mentioned that it would be great if everything I knew was someplace that he could refer to, because he was overwhelmed with the volume of information I was giving him, while answering his questions.
It was at this tine that he suggested that “with everything you know, you could help a lot of people out there”.
A week later the Veloharmony Channel on YouTube was born.
This was late October 2016. Shortly after that, the website went up to support the channel and as requests for fit both remote and locally increased, I started the Bike fit Studio out of my downstairs work area.
It has been a labor of love since then, because I love cycling and I love helping others.
